the pike River mine disater

 what do I think I know about this disaster 

-it happen in a  mine. 

-the mine was called pike river. 

- people died  in this disaster. 

what do I think I will find out about this disaster?  

- the death toll 

- why it happens what caused the disaster 

- was it an accident  

1.  the pike river mine is found in the west coast of NZ 
2. they built the mine in 2005 and started mining in November 2008. 
3. there were 31 miners inside the mine when they explosion happen. 
4. 2 people Escape. 
5. they sent robots into the mine to search for survivors because it was too dangerous to send humans 
6. Jacinda was going to reopen the mine and get the body's out but they failed   

here are some facts: 

• Russel says he ducked behind the door of the loader to  avoid the falling rocks  
• Russel was left for dead by an electrician who saw him lying on the ground 
• another survivor, Daniel, rescued Russel and helped him escape. 
• they turned on tops to help clear the smoke. 
• Daniel and Russel are the only two who got out. Daniel's brother was 21 years old and did'nt make out. they don't know why the mine exploded.  
• down in the mine the only light that is available is the light on your helmet.

•  this crash  happen in November 28 ,1979 
• there was A crash. 
• the crash happen in a mountain   

-why were they in so there are Antarctica. 

 

1. the plane was heading on a sight seeing trip around  Antarctica, see captain Jim and first officer  Greg casein.                                                                                                           
2. the pilot asked to descend to 450m so that the passengers could have to better view. 
3. the  co-pilot weren't told about the course change. there was also a white out which meant they couldn't tell the difference between the sky, land and snow. 
4. November 28th at

the flight cost 359$ 

there was 237 passengers and 20 crew on board the flight 

the plane was only suppose to drop to 6,000 feet away from where they thought they were because of the course change 

the plane picked up passengers in Auckland and Christchurch     

11 police went to the erebus crash.

 Aim: 

I want to find out how to tell if something is an Acid.   

Method: 

Equipment   

• Beaker 
• Red cabbage 
• hot water 
• test tubes 
• Acid  + hydroxide 
• Dropper 

instructions: 

1. get your equipment ready.  
2. ripe the red cabbage and put it in the beaker  and pour hot water. 
3.  put  acid in the test tube. 
4. put hydroxide in another test tube. 
5.  pour purple cabbage juice in both of the test tubes!

Christchurch earthquakes.

hi guy's today I am going to be talking about Christchurch earthquakes. there was a lot of  earthquakes at Christchurch in 2010 4th   September. they were after shocks even stronger then normal earthquakes! here are some facts about Christchurch earthquakes. 

1.  there was a big earthquake at 4:35.

2. the earthquake damage cost way more then 5$ Million. 

3.  185 people were lost and 6,659 people were injured.  

4. 115 people died when the C,T,V, building collapsed 

5.  more then 5 big buildings fell.

                              No sun. 

hi guy's welcome back to another blog post from me. today I am going to talk about this book. 

this book was about that there was no sun and it was ice could but this area that this kids found  and it had warm  pools which help'd them  survive. any way's  this is some of the things I have been doing for Hurmanu.

making sherbet

 Aim:  

1. I want to find out how to make sherbet 

Research: 

1. sherbet     

Method: 

Equipment  

1. cup 
2. Baking powder 
3. citric Acid 
4. sugar (raro) 
5. strrring rod (spoon) 

Instructions: 

1. get your equipment ready. 
2. add a teaspoon of raro into the cup. 
3. add half a teaspoon into the cup baking powder. 
4. add half a teaspoon of citric acid into the cup 
5. mix the powder with the spoon 
6.  taste the sherbet and adjust the flavour as necessary.  

 

Results: 

it tasted just  almost like Raro but a bite more salty.

Hi guy's we are back with another blog post and this time we are going to talk about rock music and classical. first we are going to talk about Rock. I wood say some Rock music is dark Music.

2.  Elvis Presley Recorded 600 songs but did't write any of them. 

3. when prince was a kid he went up stage and danced with a singer until security got him. 

4. pual  McCartney  performed 2012 London Olympics for 1.57$

5. all members of nirvana go kicked out of there own party for starting a food fight. 

6. keith richard had no sleep for 9 day's because he was working in the studio. 

7. the loudest concert ever was at 2008 by sleazy joe.

8. Rod Stewart had the world record for heaving 3,500,000  audience.   

9. Malcolm came up with his band music after finding it behind his sisters sowing machine

10. spirit Drummer ED is the oldest Drummer in history.
