Napier earthquake

                     Napier earthquake 

this disaster happen in  1931 when a big Earthquake hit. they were cracks on the road the rail way twisted   

256 people died they earthquake did a lot of damage to the buildings 

but then they were able to rebuild the houses and home's the main Earthquake kept on going for 2 min and 30 seconds. they kept on getting after shocks but the after shocks were so small that they didn't really feel most of them. and they after shocks continues today. 

-12 buildings survived 

- some of the damage were fire 

- People Had to live in tent's course the didn't feel safe to stay in there homes 

- 1% of the population were Died 

- The nurse home fell down and many nurse were killed 

- some of the buildings survive and are still standing today.
