Lake Taupo facts.
1. there was a town Right next to it that had 20,000 people.
2. the Earthquakes lasted for 2 months.
3. one of the big earthquakes were at 1922 and at 1897.
4. there was a volcano that was about to blow right a town
5. there was 16 volcano eruptions years ago.

ReplyDeleteYou have created a very interesting blog post about the history of Lake Taupo. Your reading aloud was great. I found it very interesting when you read about sections of the Earth's crust moving at the speed of growing toenails.
I have not seen a real volcano before. Do you know the names of any other volcanoes in New Zealand?
